Altona Garage Doors: broken springs and cables in Altona
The bang you heard in the garage overnight was a torsion spring letting go. Do not try to lift the door by hand once that happens, the weight is entirely unsupported. We replace springs and cables in matched pairs and rebalance the door.

What happens when you call Altona Garage Doors
A time you can plan around
You get a window based on where the van is, not a whole day. If we are running late you hear it from us before the window closes, not after.
The price before the spanner
Quoted on the phone from what you describe, confirmed on site before anything starts. If it turns out to be a bigger job you hear the new number first.
Repaired where repair is honest
Plenty of doors get replaced that needed a spring and an hour. We tell you which one yours is, including when replacement really is the better spend.
Parts that suit the coast
Galvanised springs and cables, powder coated hardware. Standard steel is cheaper and we do not fit it here, because we would be back inside two years.
